Who Can Apply For a Search of Wills Notice in BC With This Application?

This site is available for use by the legal profession and general public to obtain British Columbia Government approved and official wills notice searches issued by the government agency as an independent authorized agent.

Anyone can request a BC search of wills notice of a deceased person. You must be the person named in the will or a lawyer acting on behalf of the person named in the will to request a BC search of wills notice of a living person. Fees & Processing Times

  2. Search of Wills Notice only – Rush Service – 5 to 8 business days average processing and mailing time – $105.00 (includes all taxes and mailing costs)
  3. Certificate of Death and Search of Wills Notice – Regular Service – 20 – 30 business days average processing and mailing time – $150.00 plus $5.00 for each additional variation of the deceased subject’s name provided (includes all taxes and mailing costs)
  4. Certificate of Death and Search of Wills Notice – Rush Service – 10 to 15 business days average processing and mailing time – $185.00 plus $5.00 for each additional variation of the deceased subject’s name provided (includes all taxes and mailing costs)

Fees include all taxes, search, shipping and processing charges.

If no record of a will is found by the British Columbia Vital Statistics Agency, fees will be applied to the search cost and will not be refunded by the Agency.
