Marriage certificates ordered with regular service are currently taking 40 business days to be processed, mailed and delivered. Marriage certificates ordered with rush service are currently taking 5 business days.

Who Can Apply For a Saskatchewan Marriage Certificate With This Application?

This site is available for use by the legal profession and general public to obtain Saskatchewan Government approved and official certificates of birth issued by the government agency as an independent authorized agent.

Fees & Processing Times

Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cheque or money order – Please make cheque or money order payable to “ExpressLegal”

Certificates ordered with regular service average 40 business days to be processed and delivered.

Certificates ordered with rush service average 5 business days to be processed and delivered.

Service times listed are approximations and are not guaranteed. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will significantly delay processing time.

  2. Certified Photocopy of Marriage Registration – $100.00 each
  3. Genealogical Photocopy – $100.00 each
  4. Search Letter – $100.00 each
  5. Rush Service – $35.00 additional priority processing cost (includes multiple certificates)

Fees include all taxes, search, shipping and processing charges.

If no record of the marriage is found by Saskatchewan Vital Statistics, fees will be applied to the search cost and will not be refunded.

All marriage certificates in Saskatchewan are mailed directly from Saskatchewan Vital Statistics.

Saskatchewan Small Marriage Certificate (Wallet Size)

The small marriage certificate contains the full name of each spouse, date of marriage, place of marriage, registration number and registration date.

Saskatchewan Large Marriage Certificate (Framing Size)

The large marriage certificate contains the full name of each spouse, date of marriage, place of marriage, registration number and registration date.

Saskatchewan Certified Copy of Marriage Registration

This a photocopy of the actual marriage registration. It is legally the most complete document. The photocopy is certified as a true copy of the original.

NOTE: Certified copies are rarely needed by citizens and are, by law, for restricted use only. They are generally only required for court or consulate purposes. They are not recommended for use as identification purposes.

Saskatchewan Genealogical Photocopy

A genealogical photocopy of a Registration of Birth contains all the information that appears on the original registration. This photocopy is stamped “For Genealogy Only”.

Search Letter

A search letter states that according to the Saskatchewan Vital Statistics office the marriage is or is not recorded. The exact date of the marriage is not provided or confirmed.
